It's been a while......sorry.
Right, i'm here now.
I've been busy recently, although within the busy..urm..ness i can't think of anything big that i might have acomplished. I've started a new job which i dislike to the higest order. It's like starting my entire career all over again and i don't like that. I'm all for a challenge but this is just silly. I wanted to slot into something where i would have to learn the new companies ways and methods and then be able to get on with it, not feel like a teary eyed 4 year old on his first day of school.
So, it won't come as a great suprise that i have packed that in. I'm being far more productive looking for something better, i don't hang about either so it would seem. I have three things on the horizon and they are as follows, in order of ecxitement value (least first)
1) Workshop controller for a large rental firm.
Sounds dull but i assure you it's right up my street and the money is great. In fact it'll be the most moolah i have ever earned! I'd be in charge of people too, which is nice and would make feel like a real growed up person. I'd even get my own office, cool eh?
2) Administrator for a car dealership.
This one is still shrouded in mystery due to the crappy bank holiday, no feed back you see. I'd be working for a 'luxurious car dealership' but this is Bristol, so 'luxurious' probably means Ford...mmmm, swish. It is good money though and i'd be doing a lot of the stuff that i can do with my eyes closed, hopefully making it a seamless transition. Hopefully. And again, the money is cracking.
3) <> Junior staff writer at Redline Magazine.
You needent be Stephen Hawking to know that i want..nay, NEED to be a motoring journo. Well, this is my chance. I was with the magazine a few weeks back (see lower posts) and i found out about this soon to be position. I didn't let myself get carried away at the time because it was a huge 'if'. It's come about now though, yay. I've written the covering letter and 250 word peice they asked me for and now all i have to do is wait. The deadline is the 8th so here's hoping. I'm not getting my hopes up though as i don't want a large fall when they say 'no'. I'll keep you posted on that one.
So, thats where i'm up to. Thought i'd fill you in.....
