Saturday...whoop!

Well, it’s Saturday morning and I’m in work. Obviously this on its own is a very bad thing. Man, in any form, was not meant to carry out his menial duties on a weekend. Weekends are designed to nurse hangovers or work on cars. Not sit at my desk, watching my screen…do nothing. And that’s without touching on the obligatory wave of Muppets that will walk through the door at any moment. I’ll also have people getting upset because we can’t put their engine in while they wait. I’m sorry people, but don’t antagonize someone who doesn’t want to be here, let alone someone who doesn’t want to be here AND has given in their notice. Its not a wise move, I’m no longer contractually obliged to be nice to you.

So, that’s my current and regular Saturday morning dilemma. Today its worse though. The internet is broken!* This isn’t acceptable, I normally chip away at my four hours by sneakily eBaying or writing emails. But not today, I might actually have to do something in the way of work to pass the time. I’m not impressed, at all. This is a fine display technology, for no good reason, pissing me off.

So to hell with technology. I’m now going to sit here and wait for the ‘net to be working again……

*I’m aware of the irony. I wrote this in Word and sat here sitting, waiting to post it.
